The Lab
The Laboratory of Archaeometry in operation since 2010, is part of the Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management of the University of the Peloponnese and is situated in the city of Kalamata in South Greece.
The Laboratory is active in a regional (Prefecture of Peloponnese) and national level with academic, research institutions, the Ministry of Culture, and in collaboration with E.U. organizations through a number of research projects.

ARISTEAS is a NSRF funded project led by Professor Nikolaos Zacharias Director of the Laboratory of Archaeometry at the University of the Peloponnese, Greece. The project aims to enhance the lab's infrastructure, by the acquisition of equipment in three significant fields of Archaeological Sciences: analysis of archaeomaterials, remote sensing and digital technologies.
The CultTech MSc program provides a unique learning experience in the interdisciplinary fields of Archaeological Science and Cultural Heritage Management through a demanding syllabus taught by accredited Professors and Senior Researchers. Courses include hands-on field and laboratory courses.
CultTech MSc is a collaboration between the Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management of the University of the Peloponnese, the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" and the National Observatory of Athens.
