The 7th ARCH_RNT (2022) will be held in Kalamata, Greece, in hybrid mode, from 6 to 8 October, 2022, organized by the Laboratory of Archaeometry, University of the Peloponnese (UoP). The Symposium focuses on the use of New Technologies in the Archaeological Research (Archaeometry, Engineering, Computing and Digital Technologies) notably with the presentation of interdisciplinary approaches, special case studies and research on archaeological material and collections.

Oral presentations
The length of all oral presentations is 15 minutes, plus 5 minutes for discussion. The standard format of visual presentations is Power Point. Online participants will be able to present their paper and participate in the Q&A via Zoom platform. |
Posters
All posters will be available online at our webpage throughout the Symposium. In order to maximize the scientific interaction between our participants, two poster sessions will take place, one live and one online. Each poster author must choose in which of the two sessions they want to participate. In both sessions, the presenting authors must be available during the poster sessions to present/answer questions on their posters. |
Proceedings
All abstracts will be eligible for publication in a Special Issue of the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports.
Financial Information
For each oral or poster presentation there must be at least one registered author. The registration fees are similar for in person and online attendance (100 € / 50€ for students).
The registration fee covers:
- Access to all sessions (in person or online)
- Book of abstracts
- Potential to submit a paper to be published at the Symposium Proceedings in the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports
- Coffee and lunch breaks (for in person attendance)
Co-authors will be able to attend the conference for free. A special registration fee of 20€ will be offered for the online attendance of non-presenting viewers.

Getting to Kalamata
Athens to Kalamata bus service
Kalamata is linked to Athens and other major Greek cities with an excellent and frequent service of buses within 2h.45 min (EXPRESS) or 3h.15 min (NORMAL). Buses to Kalamata leave from Kifisos KTEL Bus Station. For more information visit KTEL Messinias. In order to get to the Kifisos KTEL Bus Station, take the Bus X93 express bus service from the airport. Buses leave every 30-40 minutes and the duration of the drive is approximately 60 minutes. Accommodation
Unfortunately, all the accommodation options, that the Symposium offered at a special price, have been booked. You can still book your accommodation in one of the many available hotels in Kalamata!
