The 8th ARCH_RNT (2024) will be held in Kalamata, Greece from 10 to 12 October, 2024, organized by the Laboratory of Archaeometry, University of the Peloponnese (UoP). The Symposium focuses on the use of New Technologies in the Archaeological Research (Archaeometry, Engineering, Computing and Digital Technologies) notably with the presentation of interdisciplinary approaches, special case studies and research on archaeological material and collections.
A Special Session will be held focusing in Modern Applications in Bioarchaeology. |

Oral presentations
The length of all oral presentations is 15 minutes, plus 5 minutes for discussion. The standard format of visual presentations is Power Point. |
Posters
Posters must be A0 in size and portrait in orientation (90 cm in width and 120 cm in height). They must be handed to the registration desk during registration and will be mounted by the ARCH_RNT Secretariat. |
Proceedings
All abstracts will be eligible for publication in a Special Issue of the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports (Impact Factor 1.6 /CiteScore 3).
Proceedings of the previous ARCH_RNT were also published in a Special Issue of the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports (access here). More than 45 papers were submitted, with an overall acceptance rate of 60% and an average publication time of 6 months.

For each oral or poster presentation there must be at least one registered author. Co-authors will be able to attend the conference for free.

Getting to Kalamata
Athens to Kalamata bus service
Kalamata is linked to Athens and other major Greek cities with an excellent and frequent service of buses within 2h.45 min (EXPRESS) or 3h.15 min (NORMAL). Buses to Kalamata leave from Kifisos KTEL Bus Station. For more information visit KTEL Messinias. In order to get to the Kifisos KTEL Bus Station, take the Bus X93 express bus service from the airport. Buses leave every 30-40 minutes and the duration of the drive is approximately 60 minutes.
