2nd Call for Short-Term Research Grants

The 2nd Call for short-term grants in Archaeometry and Digital Archaeology will open in mid-May. PhD candidates and Post-doc researchers in the fields of archaeomaterials, remote sensing and digital technologies are welcome to apply.

​An essential part of the successful implementation of ARISTEAS (Advancing Research Infrastructure & Scientific Techniques in Archaeological Science) is the funding of young researchers for short-term research within the facilities of the Laboratory of Archaeometry at the University of the Peloponnese (LA@UOP), aiming to make full use of its infrastructure and focusing on the fields of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage.

Applicants will have to submit a research proposal for a semiannual project, exploiting the equipment of LA@UOP. They will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of ARISTEAS, based on the excellence of their research proposal.

Grant beneficiaries will be given open access to all LA@UOP infrastructure for the implementation of their research and will additionally be provided with a small stipend for the coverage of personal expenses. Beneficiaries are expected to work on the facilities of LA@UOP for an overall period of at least one month. During the remaining time of their project, they are expected to complete the analysis and synthesis of their data and submit a report, which will be evaluated and approved by the Scientific Committee of ARISTEAS.
